Time until the Book Fair

Grade three students have a very good  concept of STEM and what the Engineering Design Process is.  They start the year out with team building activities, then dive more deeply into what each letter of STEM stands for. In third grade students work through 3 different units from the Engineering is Elementary program. The focuses are: Ecosystems and Environmental Engineering and removing an oil spill, along with an extensive ecosystems research project, and Industrial Engineering and learning about simple machines by building a Rube Goldberg Machine.
